Ahh y'all, this is a fine category. It's the one Retro Den fits into. While the Tulsa Flea Market and antique malls have a huge variety of stuff (which is one of their great appeals), curated vintage is super fine-tuned to create a collection of items that meet the owner's qualifications (Mid-Century Modern, Bohemian Modern, Traditional Antiques, Modern Eclectic, etc.). Customers can come to expect a very specific variety of items from these shops.

Stores like Retro Den work hard to make an experience for customers. You can come to our shop and be guaranteed to find home items that will suit a modern eclectic home. I like the way a customer once explained why she liked our shop–"I used to love going to all the places to search out my home pieces, but now I have less time, and I also just enjoy trusting that I can show up to one place and find things that suit my style. It's more efficient."

*Vintage Vault carries beautiful mid-century modern furniture, decor and clothing. They are right up the street from us!*

Because someone has spent time and energy to find EXACTLY the right pieces for their shop, items will cost a bit more. Think of it as someone saving you the gas of running to 20 different places across town and country. Think of it as someone doing the work of identifying style and quality from often chaotic picking spots. Also, curated vintage shops often have contacts only they can have...pickers.

We have this fascinating cast of pickers who bring us items for the shop. It's pretty cool that when you shop at Retro Den, your purchase power helps make it possible for two women to make funds for their families and also for fellow Tulsans to add to their living by selling cool vintage items to our shop which eventually sell to you. Neat, huh?
